Crisis, Restructuring and Challenges of Finance in Development: Recent Experiences of Banking in Ghana

Introduction

For two years from 2017, Ghana underwent a “banking crisis” which is not fully over with continuing ripple effects.   Like other crises before, the effects have been potentially cataclysmic, with life-changing social consequences for all, but particularly for the more vulnerable members of society.
