Consolidated African Union/ACP/LDC Position on Agriculture
The World Trade Organization Secretariat distributed the following communication, received from the delegation of Mauritius, that represents a common position of the African Union, the African Caribben and Pacific Countries and the Least Developed Countries on agriculture issues being debated by the World Trade Organization meeting in Cancun..

Draft Cancun Ministerial Text - Second Revision
We reaffirm our Declarations made at Doha and the decisions we took there. We take note of the progress made towards carrying out the Work Programme agreed at Doha, and recommit ourselves to completing it fully. We also renew our determination to conclude the negotiations launched at Doha successfully by the agreed date of 1 January 2005.

Preparations for the Fifth Session of the Ministerial Conference
The attached revised draft Cancún Ministerial Text is being circulated by the Chairman of the General Council on his own responsibility, in close cooperation with the Director-General. The Text will be taken up for discussion at a meeting of the General Council scheduled for the week of 25 August, which will be preceded by an informal meeting of Heads of Delegations. The Text does not purport to be agreed in any part at this stage, and is without prejudice to any delegation's position on any issue.

Initial Remarks by the Africa Group to the Joint EC-U.S. Paper on Agriculture
The government of Morocco, on behalf of the African Group, offered these initial comments to the WTO on the proposals made by the European Union and the United States on agricultural issues and the WTO.
